Empty Rooms is a spanish and french company founded by Julia Kayser and Théo Vanpop. together, they develop a co-creation practice aimed at defining their artistic identity and building a sincere, authentic choreographic language.
their work explores the connection between the instinctive nature of improvisation and the clarity of the emotional weight it conveys.
Julia Kayser is a freelance dancer and performer. She trained at Trinity Laban in London, and furthered her education through intensive programs in Madrid and Tel Aviv.
She has collaborated with companies such as Sharon Fridman, Sol Picó, Janet Novás, Mari Paula, EYAS Dance Project, LUNA PARK, taking part in residencies and premieres at various venues including Mercat de les Flors, Naves del Español, and Uferstudios in Berlin.
Alongside her performance career, Julia also develops her own choreographic work, where she explores themes such as ego or identity through physical research.

Théo Vanpop is a freelance dancer and choreographer. He started his career in Ballet Ireland in which he has performed repertoire by Ohad Naharin or Aszure Barton. He has also collaborated with artists such as Daniel Abreu, Elias Aguirre, Unterwegs Theater or Otra Danza under the direction of Asun Noales.
Alongside his performance career, Théo nurtures a strong interest in choreography, which he explores in co-creation with Julia Kayser.
